Swedish gossip magazine S reports that Princess Christina’s (youngest of four older sisters of King Carl XVI Gustaf) son Oscar Magnuson and his fiancée Emma Ledent will marry in France on 24 September.

The future groom’s father Tord Magnuson tells the magazine’s reporter that it will be a small wedding with only around 50 guests.

No location is given for the wedding but the couple revealed in their engagement announcement (read my post on their engagement here) that the proposal had taken place in Gattières which is located in the Alpes-Maritimes department in France and not far from where Princess Christina and Consul General Tord Magnuson have a villa – so one can assume it will take place somewhere around there on familiar grounds.

- We look forward to it, it’s going to be so much fun, proud father is quoted as saying.

Oscar is an eyewear designer and Emma a marketing and sales director, they have been a couple for many years and are frequent guests at royal family events. The couple lives just next door the Royal Palace in the Old Town of Stockholm.

Hi Sofia,

This is only tangentially related, but I wonder whether you have any links to articles online about Princess Christina Mrs. Magnuson or Tord Magnuson – I’ve been wanting to read more about them for a while.

I'm sorry to say but there is generally quite little interest about her, so I don't think there are any interesting articles online that touches beyond the surface of things. Is there anything in particular you have in mind or are interested in about her and her husband?

Sorry to hear about the spam!

No, nothing in particular – just what sort of people they are and what they’ve done in their lives, I suppose. Actually, I’m interested to know more about all the Haga sisters, but Christina is the most interesting to me as from the little I know of her, she seems to be the best-educated and the one who was/is most involved in royal duties. Unfortunately, it seems that the Swedish media don’t share this interest of mine….

Yes I don't think there are any deep articles to fill you in here really. But if you want to know more about her life maybe I can do a profile of Princess Christina, and also her sisters, in the future…
